I'm Not There, I'm Gone is a double-screen video art installation exhibited at the University of Bergen, Faculty of Fine Art. It represents a continued exploration of archival material and an investigation into various methods of infusing narrative elements into the visual medium. In this work, viewers are presented with two vintage JVC monitors. On the left screen, a group photo from 1936 captures an ordinary scene, while the right screen zooms in on a particular face, prompting a subtle realization that something is amiss. This isolated figure stands out distinctly from the others, conveying a unique reaction and detachment from the rest of the scene. This evocative presentation sparks a multitude of questions, compelling the audience to delve into the realms of imagination for answers.
